This Blog post is a link to the radio interview I did recently (2/11/19) on the "Do The Wright Thing" show on KDAY 93.5 and hosted by Amanda Wright. I brought 2 of my former students (Arlana Walton Long Beach Poly '06 and Hershel Dennis L B Poly '02). Arlana is at www.whatsyouruturn.com as well as on Instagram @whatsyouruturn and Hershel is on Instagram @teamhustlehd
Here is the Soundcloud recording of the original airing of the show. Amanda Wright is a 23 yr old DJ on the 90's HipHop station 93.5 KDAY in the Los Angeles and Inland Empire area. She is determined to bring real change to all communities through her powerful show "Do The Wright Thing". The show airs Sunday mornings at 6 am. You can catch on your radio, on the website www.935kday.com , or on the free phone app 93.5 KDAY. The Radio Interview topic is based on my November blog post of the same name... "How To Mess Up The American Education System". Here is the link. It's 37 minutes of identifying real issues students and teachers are facing along with real solutions. soundcloud.com/user-367836185/how-to-mess-up-the-american-education-system All of the curriculum I use is available on my website weareworking2gether.org The E books are $1.99. The entire peer counseling class for middle and high school students is $30. The entire elementary school student class is $30. They come with E books and physical copy conflict resolution manual and resource/activity book. The cost to take care of your school (of any size) is $199. I'm an educator not a business person. I believe in the effectiveness of this curriculum. The students I serve believe in the curriculum, also. It's way past time to change education and this curriculum along with your passion will make the change happen swiftly.
